About Research Group

The AI and Robotics Lab (AIRLab) was established in 2018. It is based in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh. There are now over 10 members including academic staff, graduate and undergraduate students. The Centre focuses on research in areas such as plant disease detection, motion detection for robot eyes, smart power utilization system, and sustainable environment and is now growing fast with many reputable publications toward its goal to achieve centre of excellence.

Dr. Md. Rajibul Islam
Director, AI and Robotics Lab

Dr. Md. Rajibul Islam is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), Bangladesh. He is serving as the Director of the AI and Robitics Research Lab at the same department. He received his Ph.D. in Photonics from the Photonics Research Centre, University of Malaya (UM) in March 2017. He received his M.Sc. in IT (Image Processing: Biometrics) from Multimedia University, Malaysia (MMU) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, India, in 2010 and 2004, respectively.
